Thanks to Mike Madrid I have a rare copy of the Banana Republic company newsletter to share. It gives an amazing picture of life in the growing company, check out the list of store openings in the Ask the Founders section, it’s staggering. The newsletter is filled with tips for salespeople and celebrates large notable sales. Especially interesting are the celebrity sightings in San Francisco (site of the 1984 Democratic National Convention) and Beverly Hills (AIRWOLF!). Notice too the clothing tags at the bottom of page 7 and the unfamiliar diamond shaped logo.
